My first experience with "fast food" Mediterranean was a solid ok - nothing too awful, or too wonderful, here. The overall look, feel, and taste would best be described as a Chipotle with middle eastern food.
I had a bowl with mixed green and rice, falafel, hummus, tatziki, feta, and vegetables. The falafel had a very fried, dark brown exterior but cut easily; the interior wasn't mashed well enough - or strongly flavored enough - for me. Toppings were placed in discreet piles, so I needed to really mix/swirl everything together to get the combined flavor experience I was looking for. It felt like the concept is to make this distinctive cuisine as generic and palatable to middle Americans as possible.
While I wouldn't come out of my way to eat here, next time I'm at Garden City and get hungry, and feeding just myself, I'd consider coming back. I really enjoyed sitting on the sunny patio today as it was very cold inside! -

This quick-bite location is not anything to rant about. Just your everyday, grab and go type of place: nothing special. The food wasn't terrible, nor was it tasty. Something to say: the review isn't about the food, more the staff.
This establishment hires staff who are not exactly the sweetest people. The staff clearly don't care about customer satisfaction, the training must be something like: "just throw the food on their plate and charge them the total," which was indicated in my visit. The staff don't greet you, they just say in a monotone voice "wut do u want." You tell them your order, and they just pile it on in any direction. If you want the ingredients of your food to be dispersed evenly, have fun mixing it yourself! Cleanliness and food bacteria count doesn't seem to be a real concern over here. I heard one of the staff say "oops i forgot meh glover oh well lol not my fued so idc" (not literally, they just said "whoops i dont have my gloves") as they proceeded to assemble my food with bare hands. The most disgusting thing I found about this place is the AttEmptEd scAm. Yikes. This review isn't looking good for you, Simple Greek, eh? Anyway, I was paying the total with a $100.00 bill, and they gave me my change, keeping five extra dollars for themselves. It was a nice try (actually it wasn't), but I caught them red-handed. The staff didn't know how to redo the change of a transaction, so the supervisor had to come out and do it for the "well-trained" staff. Speaking of not knowing how to use technology, they can't set up their pinpad correctly. It was literally running Windows 7. Like the actualinterface for Windows was on the pin pad. I forgo to mention that they never apologised for an attemped scam. So my overall feeling: the experience was pretty sad. -

Terrible restaurant with ownership that does not care....
Went there on a Sunday eveneing alone for a quick bite. Staff all look about 12 years old....
Tables all dirty.
Food was so bad I replaced it twice and then left it uneaten and walked out.
Gyro meat.. precut.. dry.. hard.. disgusting
Replaced with cut up chicken. Cut up when? Dry, hard, gross
Tzatziki.... please
Greek potatoes... are supposed to be wedges baked and delicious. I was served burned, black potatoe chips.
I then wrote a nice note to the corporate web form and ten days later... no reply.
Yeah the Profit is a real whiz. Skip the gross chain and find a real greek place. This place stinks.
Got NOTHING but trouble for my $$$$. -

I don't believe I've ever had an experience good or bad enough to bother rating. We ordered from simple Greek for the first time through grub hub. We asked for the dressing on the side- it wasn't. I asked for wheat pita- it was white. We asked for chicken and I have no idea what that's dried out meat type thing actually was. I called the restaurant to let them know and the kid immediately blamed grub hub and took zero responsibility. We weren't looking to get anything for free, simply to voice the displeasure, but he wouldn't hear it.

This is only the second review I have written, but given how awful the presentation of the pita was and the lack of concern on the part of the guy who made it, I felt I needed to share my thoughts. Let me first say that aside from the texture of the meat, the ingredients on their own would have tasted pretty decent, but I digress...
As you can see from the picture, the falafel is burnt, there is HALF A SLICE of cucumber, ONE kalamata olive, 3-4 "slices" of rubbery "traditional gyro meat" (so clearly lacking in the substance that should make up most of the filling), and the ONE clump of feta cheese (which you can't see) has tzatziki and hummus plopped on top of it. I guess it's partially my fault for not heeding the warnings of those who have written reviews before me, but I will definitely not be getting food from here again. Management needs to do a better job of hiring and training employees, otherwise, they will continue to lose customers and won't be in business much longer.
